about

Exclusive AGS edition of Greenwood's sophomore album, Music Book.

More Tatsuro, more soul.

Greenwood returns with more covers of the city pop master, Tatsuro Yamashita, and guest appearances from soul artists Brent Carter (Tower of Power) and Peter Rivera (Rare Earth).

Following the success of their first album, Lost In Paradise, which featured the band's popular cover of Tatsuro Yamashita's "Sparkle", Greenwood quickly decided to return to the studio for a second album — and with more Tatsuro songs: "Loveland, Island", "Music Book", and "Mermaid".

Having organized and performed at the 70s Nightclub Reunion concert series in Honolulu, where local R&B bands from the 1970s got back together for one-night-only parties to celebrate those funky, groovy years, Greenwood built connections with artists like Brent Carter and Peter Rivera and subsequently welcomed them as guests on their newest recording. The new album includes covers across a range of styles, like Ray Charles and Eddie Floyd, Hall & Oates, The Rascals, plus one of our low-key soul surfer favorites: "Pipeline Sequence" from the Honk soundtrack.

This exclusive Aloha Got Soul edition features clear with green splatter vinyl with printed inner sleeve in a brown chipboard jacket with hype sticker.
