Muro, the King Of Diggin’ needs no introduction. Out of the countless mixtapes he has released, Hawaiian Breaks has been one of his most popular.

Roger Bong started the blog Aloha Got Soul in 2010 after hearing Muro's first Hawaiian Breaks mix.

Now, the inspiration comes full circle with Hawaiian Breaks 2020, the newest installation in Muro's series of rare grooves, funk, and soul from Hawaii. This timeless mix was born from a destined encounter between these two individuals.

"I created a mix with Aloha Got Soul, which is a label I love that releases reissues of great Hawaiian music as well as new artists from Hawaii!

This dense mix features artists like Mike Lundy who is a Hawaiian artists that influenced me tremendously, as well as Dae Han who is a new artist I got into last year, and Maryanne Ito who performed incredible shows in Japan!

For those of you who can’t go to Hawaii in the summer this year, I hope that listening to HAWAIIAN BREAKS 2020 helps you to take a virtual trip to the islands!"
